Nothing says summer like a cool slice of watermelon! I had a craving for this refreshing fruit and and whipped up a few potholders to use with my outdoor grill. I made these using my 8" x 8" Watermelon Slice block pattern which is for sale in my shop. Now you can get ready for the warmer months too!
You could make a single block and add it as a pocket to your favorite apron! Your grill chef (aka husband) just might appreciate it.
Make a bunch of them, add some sashing and before you know it, you'll have a great summer coverlet.
How about enlarging the pattern, exploiting your stash and make a fantastic Warhol-ish wallhanging? I just might do this!
