My Arrowhead quilt is featured in Modern Patchwork
magazine's Summer 2015 issue! I love the spread and the attention to detail that the editors gave to my instructions. They've even included a downloadable pattern available from their site; you can check it out here if you'd like.
I took a few of my own photos as well. I like to have a full, flat image of each of my quilts before they get well used and crinkly.
I made this quilt completely from my stash. I know that I'm kidding myself when I consider that anything that comes from my stash is free, sort of like water from the tap, but I can pretend, cant I? I grabbed everything I had in both warm and cold hues of grey and blue and picked through them until I had a nice subtle mix to work with.
I am a huge fan of topographical quilting. It is so easy to do and it looks so great. I think it is my new favorite!
If you'd like to make your own Arrowhead quilt, be sure to pick up a copy of Modern Patchwork Summer 2015. This issue has 25 all-new projects inspired by summer vacation. Enjoy!

Congratulations Barbara! Such a handsome quilt... What size is it? I'm guessing 40" x 48". And the quilting is fabulous! You make me want to break out my little Janome and do some fmq on my next finish.
What a lovely quilt! Love the pattern and especially the colours! They look so beautiful together!
Thanks everyone!
Thanks for thiis
