Design Seeds

While perusing Lily's Quilts blog, I followed her link to Design Seeds where I happily spent several hours checking out this innovative and creative website.  Simply put, the site contains hundreds of beautiful photographs, paired with carefully constructed color palettes that represent the image.  These palettes have so generously been made available to all, to be used as a source of inspiration for our crafts of choice.  Of course, rules for use apply so please be sure to comply with the requirements of the owner.

I'll be using one palette from these selections to make another "not so plain spoken" quilt, this one for myself.  I'm not sure yet if I will be using one of the cooler versions represented above or one of the warmer versions represented below.  I suppose that will depend on how easily I can match my fabrics.

I love the color crop with the carrots - i typically don't use these colors in my quilting but when you see something like this... how could you not want to!!

btw I'm here from the small blog meet up - love if you'd stop by and see me :)

My favorite is your last selection - ripe? But all of them are delicious! I found you on the small blog meet up too. I really enjoyed reading your hexagon post. I am doing one now and this has inspired me to pick it up!
